St. Mark Parish (St. Louis) was organized in 1893. The church was built in 1901 at Page and Academy. The school (1909) was staffed by Dominican Sisters. A high school was built (1934-1975). In 1977 De Porres School was established as an area Catholic grade school. The parish was closed in 1992 and merged with Sts. Barbara, Edward, Rose, and Notre Dame de Lourdes to form the new parish of St. Augustine at the St. Barbara location. It is currently the property of Oasis of Life Church (2009).
