2005 Sts. Mary and Joseph (south City) was established in 1821 at 6304 Minnesota. The first church building completed in 1823 was followed by several, the last built in 1940. Its school was started by the School Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet. The school was eventually merged with St. Boniface. In 2005 the parish was closed and the church opened as a chapel.
