Catholic Charities- Help a Mom in Need Christmas Event
You can help many of our moms in need in the St. Louis area give their children gifts this Christmas. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and local radio station, KEZK 102.5, will be on hand at the Cathedral Basilica on Friday, December 7, from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. accepting drive-by cash, checks and gift card donations. We will be serving coffee and hot cocoa, courtesy of Starbucks in the Central West End. Please stop by and help us provide the means for parents in need to buy their children Christmas presents this year. You are also invited to attend the 12:05 pm. Mass at the Cathedral Basilica.
As the gold sponsor of local radio station Fresh 102.5's all-Christmas-music programming this year, radio personality, Vic Porcelli, will be on-site from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Catholic Charities along with our eight agencies will have staff members on hand if you would like to learn more about the charitable services that we provide. Dr. Michael Meehan, Executive Director of Good Shepherd Children & Family Services, expects that this will be a great event which will benefit the many mothers and children we serve, including those in our adoptive and foster care system. Proceeds from this event will also benefit the children ofMarygrove.
“On behalf of everyone in the archdiocese, I pray that you and your family will open your door to the peace of the Christ child this season and that you have a very blessed and joyous Christmas." Archbishop Robert Carlson
