In 1983, 52 acres were purchased in western St. Louis County for a new Catholic cemetery.  On May 10, 1986 Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis dedicated Holy Cross Cemetery on Manchester Road, to provide a large, Archdiocesan Cemetery to serve the growing population of this area.

The cemetery offers a mausoleum chapel complex with crypts for one or two persons, niches for the entombment of one urn, lawn crypts with unique memorialization options, shared family monument lots, monument lots and lawn level marker graves.  The latest offering is the granite stand-alone columbarium unit for the entombment of cremated remains.  It is nestled near the wood line in a lovely garden setting near Section 4.  The columbarium is topped with a lifesize statue of Mother Teresa and is surrounded by lovely plantings and granite benches.
