Philippine Cimetiere is one of the newer additions of Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, consisting of 37 acres.   Twenty acres were initially purchased on March 17, 1997, the balance added in August of 2003.  The cemetery was dedicated by Monsignor Mark Rivituso on April 29, 2000 upon the completion of the chapel mausoleum and lawn crypt areas.  The columbarium unit for the inurnment of cremated remains was added in the Fall of 2000, and the bronze bust of Ste. Philippine was mounted on the mausoleum facade in the Spring of 2004.  The statue of Mary, Mother of the Church was nestled along the wood line in the fall of 2008 and was replaced with a statue of Our Lady of Grace on October 21, 2011.
