The Archdiocese of St. Louis makes available announcements for use in parish bulletins. Parishes may use these announcements in their bulletins, calendars, and online.

  • Anyone can submit a bulletin announcement.
  • Please submit announcements at least four weeks in advance of the date of the event.
  • Include contact information for all announcements, even if this information is not to be included with the announcement. Announcements submitted without contact information will not be posted.
  • All submitted announcements are subject to approval and editing.

The Archdiocesan-wide choir and orchestra of The Young Catholic Musicians are holding auditions in preparation for their 44th Year of service to the Church. These young people [aged 10-17] represent over 50 parishes and schools in the St. Louis area. They learn quality liturgical music and lead the music for Mass once each month at different parishes. Eight locations will host these events that give an opportunity for 6th, 7th and 8th graders and their families to hear three presentations from high schools in an evening. It begins with Mass at 9:30 a.m. and is followed by a “Breakfast.” Tickets are $12.00 each and by reservation only (no tickets sold at the door). Tables of 8 – if you want to sit with a select group, send in one reservation for the entire group as there will be assigned seating. Peter & Paul History. Dale Preston of Preston Art Glass Studios has restored sections of our old Rose Window which graced our church since 1874. These stained glass window “light catchers” come ready to hang in any window. Prizes 5, 6 & 7 will each be $100.00 cash prizes. The 8th prize package is from Bogart’s Smoke House and all remaining prizes will each be $75.00 worth of restaurant gift certificates. We will have 60 plus silent auction baskets, a cake booth, pull-tabs, a bounce house & face painting for the kids. Hot dogs, brats, barbeque sandwiches, nachos and refreshments will be sold outside as well.

PJ Anderson will be giving a concert at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in O'Fallon, MO on September 15th at 7:00pm in the church. PJ is a Christian singer-songwriter from Nashville, TN. PJ has a unique ability to connect with his listener. We are thrilled to welcome PJ back for his second concert here! PJ was the first performer in our beONE Concert Series which began in 2016. In honor of the bicentennial anniversary of St. Rose Philippine's arrival in the Saint Louis Archdiocese, St. Francis Community Services is offering a very special tour of her two local shrines. A few seats are still available. We will gather at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles, at 9 a.m. for coffee and pastries, followed by a tour of the shrine, where St. Philippine has been laid to rest. Then, we'll board a bus to head to the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine, Florissant, where this pioneer saint spent more than 20 years. Enjoy lunch, "saintly trivia," the shrine tour, and Mass in the St. Ferdinand Church with Msgr. Jack Schuler, before returning by bus to St. Charles around 4 p.m. To round out your day, you may want to catch the free trolley at the north end of Main Street (just a few blocks from the Academy) to explore the rich history and delightful shops and restaurants of Old Town St. Charles. St. Francis Borgia Parish Fall Festival, September 9 & 10, 2017 On Saturday, September 9, 2017 join us for an Outdoor Mass beginning at 6:30 pm under the tent. Open-Air Dance will be starting at 8:00 pm featuring Onyx. On Sunday, September 10, 2017. We will be serving Deep Fried Chicken & Roast Beef Dinners from 11:00 am till 6:00 pm in the Grade School cafeteria, Second & Cedar Street, Washington, MO.
