For the Sake of All by Dr. Jason Purnell | 1 year 2 weeks ago
Healthy food options, quality schools, clean air to breathe, & services and amenities like banks & parks are just some of the neighborhood factors that can shape health throughout life. However, policies & informal practices throughout the nation & in our region have divided neighborhoods based on race, social class, or both. This division, or segregation, in neighborhoods often affects the opportunity for all residents to live healthy, productive lives. The good news is that there are solutions for investing in quality neighborhoods for all. Join Dr. Jason Purnell, Washington University professor and member of the Peace and Justice Commission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 7pm, when he will present his study "For the Sake of All" at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church (15642 Clayton Road, Ellisville, MO 63011). Sponsoring parishes include: St. Clare of Assisi, St. Joseph (Manchester), Holy Infant, Ascension, St. Alban Roe, and Incarnate Word. For further information, please contact Bernie Sammons at 314-853-6391 or Marie Kenyon at 314-792-7062
