Culture of Leadership

Core Initiatives

Lay Formation Program

The Lay Formation Program is a three-year program of intellectual, spiritual and pastoral formation. At the end of the program participants commit to three years of volunteer service at their parish, in ministries discerned with their pastor. Our goal is to help lay people grow closer to Christ and become leaven in their parishes, work places and neighborhoods.

109 people were commissioned from the first cohort of the program (2013-2016) in May of 2016.  More than 130 began the second cohort of the program (2016-2019) in September of 2016.

Parish Viability Study

The Parish Planning & Viability Study was designed to assist the leadership of the Archdiocese in planning for future administrative structures and staffing of parishes. The study methodology was presented to the priests of the Archdiocese in April 2015 and they were asked to complete the study in their parishes and submit it by November 2015.
