Kristin Parran
Kristin graduated from Stephens College in May 2009 with a major in Marketing, Public Relations, and Advertising with a double minor in Digital Film and Broadcast. As a student at Stephens, she maintained at least a 3.85 GPA, served on the Student Government Association in a variety of roles, including Executive Vice President, Director of Public Relations for the Martin Luther King Student Union, Vice President of Membership for PRSSA, Secretary of National Broadcast Society, a member of Stephens Modeling Group, and Vice President of Membership for the Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. She also served as a Resident Assistant for two years and later promoted to Resident Director. As a respected member of the Stephens’ Community, Kristin was awarded the Martin Luther King Community Service Award, served as the student representative on the Student Events Taskforce, and Search Committee for the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Kristin maintains the same commitment to her career and community service and plans to enter the field of Public Relations and obtain a combined MBA/JD. She is daughter of Rod and Debra Parran and a very active member of St. Alphonsus “Rock” Church. She participated as a Lwanga radio intern for several years and as a group leader in the annual KUJENGA Leadership Conference. Lwanga Center proudly applauds Kristin.

Class speaker Kristin Parran of St. Louis drew from poet Maya Angelou’s repeated admonitions for women to “reinvent” themselves daily in response to their strengths and the needs around them.
“It is now time for us to return the favor,” she said. “Be the change you want to see in the world. … Leave some very high stilettos to fill.”
