Dear Laura,

Happy New Year! Thank you for your blog about how you spent Christmas and New Year's. I also spent my Christmas at one Monastery in Nigeria. - Emmanuel

Dear Laura,

Happy New Year! Thank you for your blog about how you spent Christmas and New Year's. It was not easy for you to be apart from your family for Christmas. That is one of the hardest sacrifices about being a Missionary overseas. I know from 5 years in Bolivia and even 4 years in Rome when I was a seminarian at the North American College in Rome.

I pray in gratitude for your faith-filled commitment and generous service of the people of El Salvador.

May Our Lord fill your heart with His love and enrich your life in many friendships that are the fruit of your missionary service!

I will return to Bolivia where I used to be a Missionary for 2 weeks for meetings and for ways to accompany our St. Louis Priest Missionaries in Bolivia and the beloved people of Bolivia. Let's pray for one another.

Sincerely,
Msgr. Frank Blood
Director, Mission Office
Archdiocese of Saint Louis - Msgr. Francis Blood
