National Catholic Educational Association Convention 2017

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is pleased to host the 2017 Convention & Expo of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) at The America’s Center from April 18-20, 2017. The Catholic Education Office will spend the next year planning to welcome 8,000+ Catholic educators and leaders to our beautiful city.

At the 2016 Convention, visitors from Catholic schools from as far away as Australia and Guam attended 272 presentations on a variety of topics related to curriculum, instruction, leadership, enrollment management, development and imagining the future of Catholic education in the 21st century and beyond! Vibrant liturgies every day provided attendees time to pray together and reflect on our unified mission to go out and make disciples of all those we teach. In addition, hundreds of educational suppliers were on hand to present their newest resources.

At the conclusion of the 2016 Convention, Dr. Nelson spoke to all in attendance following the closing liturgy to express our gratitude to our hosts in San Diego and the NCEA leadership, and to invite everyone to attend the 2017 NCEA Convention & Expo in St. Louis. To entice them even more, he introduced our “Welcome to St. Louis!” video of which we are most proud. You will be too!

This video focuses on our 200-year history of providing Catholic education in St. Louis, and on our Catholic identity as both a city and a school system of 140 elementary, secondary and special education schools. We hope you enjoy it and share it with your family and friends!
