The Office for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs carries out the mandate of Vatican II to reach out to other Christians in prayer, dialogue and service for the sake of Christian unity. The Office also reaches out to peoples of other religious faith traditions (Jewish, Muslim and others) in order to promote greater understanding and cooperation. The Ecumenical Officer, as designated by the Archbishop, represents the Archdiocese at a variety of events and programs. The office also serves as a resource to other agencies, parishes, schools, groups and individuals within the Archdiocese.
