Cardinal Ritter Senior Services has a job opening for a full-time Social Services Manager to provide clinical Social Work services and provide supervision to professional social work staff in providing Community Information and Referral; Casework Services; supervising social work staff at Adult Day Care and Assisted Living Facilities. Responsible for data management and grant reporting for the department.. This position is located at St. Agnes Apartments, 2840 Wisconsin Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118. 1. Responsible for developing short term and long term departmental goals, and for the implementation of these efforts to deliver cost effective, quality services.
2. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all Social Services staff.
3. Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all service programs within the Social Service Department.
4. Provides direct social work services to clients as needed.
5. Responsible for the maintaining and coordinating of all statistical records as required by the agency.
6. Responsible for conducting regular Social Service staff meetings.
7. Recruits, selects, trains and evaluates professional Social Work staff.
8. Directs a casework program consistent with the objectives of the agency.
9. Initiates, develops and manages new programs assigned as a departmental responsibility.
10. Consults with staff in planning and implementing services, and in identifying service gaps.
11. Oversees Quality First project for the department and participates in Quality First meetings to achieve a high level of quality services. Includes responsibility for COA (Council on Accreditation) outcomes and reporting for the Social Service Department.
12. Assures on-going training and professional development occurs.
13. Directs field placement of Social Work practicum students selected to train in the agency.
14. Represents the department and the agency in community meetings; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other community agencies.
15. Develops and submits budget for the department and manages the department in accordance with the budget approved by the Board.
16. Works closely with grant writer to source, write and report on grants supporting Social Services staff as well as social services clients.
17. Responsible for ensuring staff follows HR Policies and Procedures.
18. Willingness to be team player and work with other departments and their deadlines.
19. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Development (direct supervisor).

Master’s Degree in Social Work, with at least six years of post-degree experience, two of which include supervisory responsibilities, and at least one year of work with Senior Adults. LCSW licensure from the State of Missouri, or ACSW accreditation required.
