Position Description: 

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services has an opening for a part-time Receptionist to work Saturday and Sunday evenings. This position is located at Mary, Queen and Mother Center Skilled Nursing Facility - 7601 Watson Rd., St. Louis, MO. POSITION SUMMARY:
Welcomes visitors, vendors, current and prospective residents and their families to Mary, Queen and Mother Center by greeting them in a friendly, courteous manner and giving accurate directions or responses to questions and inquiries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides facility information to residents, family members of residents, visitors and vendors, etc.
2. Monitors the coming and going of all residents, preventing possible elopement
3. Receives shipment deliveries and notifies the appropriate staff
4. Distributes payroll checks every other week
5. Accepts resident monthly payments
6. Assists residents when their code-alert warning sets off the door alarm
7. Accepts meal money and orders meals for resident’s family members or friends
8. Acts as contact person for money lost in vending machines
9. Sells stamps
10. Sorts and distributes daily mail delivery
11. Keeps the emergency file phone numbers updated
12. Performs miscellaneous typing for medical records such as incident reports in MDI and filing in 22 binders
13. Receives and directs all incoming calls and visitors
14. Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma
2. At least 1 year office experience

SKILLS & ATTITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN JOB:
1. Pleasing telephone voice
2. Able to work under pressure with interruptions
3. Type 30-40 words per minute
4. Versatile in assuming varied duties
5. Possess good phone etiquette skills
6. Personable and able to deal with public in a professional manner
7. Possess a high degree of professionalism at all times
