Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a part-time Administrative Support Specialist within the Office of Consecrated Life located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. This position provides effective administrative and office support to the day-to-day operations. The Archdiocese is a non-profit organization which encompasses 185 parishes, 146 schools, over 90 offices/agencies and a Catholic population of more than 500,000. Duties & Responsibilities:
• Direct incoming calls from the main Consecrated Life phone line and assist/respond to general OCL related inquires
• Input and maintain the electronic contact information of the consecrated religious men and women affiliated with the Archdiocese and associated database
• Data collection for annual Secretariat Report
• Gather/edit biographical histories of annual jubilarians for submission to the Saint Louis Review Staff for the Jubilarian Supplement
• Gather names and prepare prayer cards for the annual contemplative-seminarian prayer initiative
• Prepare emailing/mailing lists for major event notifications (e.g. annual Mass for Consecrated Life, Missouri Bishops and Major Superiors Meeting, Days of Prayer and Recollection, Christmas Cards, special days of prayer)
• Communicate with caterers, florists; prepare signage; prepare/summarize evaluation forms for major events of OCL (e.g. annual Mass for Consecrated Life, Missouri Bishops and Major Superiors Meeting, Days of Prayer and Recollection)
• Other duties as assigned by the director or director’s delegate

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• Knowledge of the Catholic faith and consecrated religious life
• Preference given to a candidate with a 2 year related degree and 2 years office experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheets, email and internet
• Facility with basic maintenance of OCL webpage and social media
• Proficient with English composition (e.g. for Jubilarian supplement as well as background information of consecrated religious membership)
• Process purchases and invoices through Coupa
