Housing Processor (Shelter Plus Care Program)

Position Description: 

Queen of Peace Center is seeking to employ a full-time dynamic Housing Processor to work in our Shelter Plus Care Program. Queen of Peace Center is a family-centered behavioral healthcare provider for women with addiction, their children and families. The gender focused female recovery center provides a variety of treatment options to women with co-occurring disorders and those affected by trauma.

Position Summary:
The Housing Processor is responsible for overseeing the continuous quality improvement process, tracking outcomes and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. The Housing Processor will complete the household certification process from A to Z. This includes conducting annual recertification interviews, file processing, system entry and voucher processing.

Core Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews with existing residents
• Generate accurate and complete client certifications
• Enter accurately and timely client data into Housing Information Management System (HMIS)
• Meet program recertification deadlines
• Perform random case file audits to ensure compliance
• Relate to program clients in a professional manner that is reflective of QOPC core values
• Attend monthly Department of Mental Health (DMH) meetings and agency audits; provide answers and supporting documentation for any issues discovered
• Work collaboratively with Housing Manager to prepare monthly and annual programmatic reports
• Identify and escalate critical quality issues appropriately to senior management
• Establish/maintain effective cross functional team communications to advance quality activities

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
• Required Associates Degree in Human Services or Business administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• One year experience administering Federal housing subsidy
• Must have previous affordable subsidize housing experience (rent calculations, FMR knowledge, etc.)
• Must be familiar with HUD housing quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft windows, Outlook, Service Point (HMIS), and PHA Web
• Must have strong technical, data entry and data management skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
• Must be familiar with HMIS systems; ServicePoint knowledge is preferred
• Must have excellent customer service skills

• Strong and acute attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects
