Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a full-time Accounting Manager. This position is part of the Finance Office located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. Position summary:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare and review financial reports by performing the following duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Review and approve all journal entries from accountants under direct supervision
• Creates end of month reports as requested by agency directors and/or their supervisor, including but not limited to, consolidated financial reports and cash forecasts
• Review and recommend changes to agency budgets
• Conduct annual staff reviews
• Reviews and approves end of month account reconciliations
• Reviews reports prepared by professional accounting staff
• Monitors general ledger coding of invoices to insure integrity and consistency
• Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excel and Microsoft Word experience preferred.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
