Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a full-time Human Resources Assistant. This position is part of the Office of Human Resources located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. The Archdiocese is a non-profit organization which encompasses 180 parishes, 110 schools, over 90 offices/agencies and a Catholic population of more than 500,000. Position Summary:
Provide HRIS administrative support to Archdiocesan agencies and parishes and serve as a resource for proper documentation, policy interpretation and best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain data entry in the Lawson HRIS platform and insurance carrier sites. This includes new hires, changes, terminations for HR and insurance benefit related actions.
• Audit incoming data entry for accuracy and compliance. Trouble-shoot discrepancies and correspond with agency and parish contacts for proper documentation.
• Collaborate with the payroll department and adhere to payroll processing deadlines in a timely manner.
• Field and respond to inquiries regarding insurance benefits, employee self-service issues, verification of employment and other needs.
• Correspond with agencies and parishes to obtain proper paperwork for qualifying events.
• Produce reports each pay period for review and correct discrepancies for payroll and insurance carrier needs.
• Process data entry associated with conversion efforts when parishes join Lawson HRIS platform.
• Provide administrative support to HR Generalist and assist with various compliance projects, open enrollment and events as needed.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related business field of study preferred and/or equivalent years of related experience.
• Experience with HRIS (Lawson or other) platforms.
• Basic understanding of HR laws and compliance requirements.
