Position Description: 

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services has openings for full-time, part-time and PRN Dietary Aides. The open positions are located at Mary Queen & Mother Center Skilled Nursing Facility, Mother of Perpetual Help Assisted Living Facility, and Our Lady of Life Apartments in Shrewsbury, MO . 1. Maintains good personal hygiene.
2. Prepares and handles food in a safe and sanitary manner.
3. Plates and/or serves food in a safe and sanitary manner.
4. Sets tables.
5. Prepares residents trays.
6. Assists residents in cutting meat, opening milk, condiments, juice, etc.
7. Follows and meets job breakdown schedules.
8. Serves food at appropriate temperatures.
9. Completes all cleaning assignments.
10. Properly stores food in proper location and manner.
11. Follows menus, recipes, and spreadsheets accurately (if applicable).
12. Reports any safety or sanitation hazards to supervisor or manager.
13. Reports any problems with residents and/or any changes in resident eating habits.
14. Operates dish machine correctly and efficiently, making sure dishes and silverware are clean and sanitized correctly.
15. Scrapes, washes, rinses and sanitizes pots, pans, and utensils properly.
16. Returns all cleaned dishes, silverware, pots and pans to appropriate storage areas.
17. Cleans dish machine and dish room thoroughly after each meal.
18. Receives and puts away stock using the FIFO (First In First Out).
19. Attends in-services and training meetings, staff meetings or any other meeting as required.
20. Empties trashcans, cleans and sanitizes trashcans and disposes of trash correctly. Replaces trash liner.
21. Sweeps and mops floor thoroughly.
22. Performs heavy duty cleaning as assigned.
23. Performs all other duties as assigned.

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Knowledge of English Language.

1. Genuine interest in older adults.
2. Able to stand, walk, manipulate equipment with hands, lift 50#, push 100#, and bend.
3. Cooperate with co-workers and supervisor or manager.
4. Able to maintain a pleasant atmosphere and pleasant attitude in Dining Rooms.
5. Ability to withstand heat and temperature change.
6. Awareness of kitchen hazards to prevent accidents.
7. Ability to meet time deadlines.
8. Ability to work in stressful environment.
