Position Description: 

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services has a job opening for a full-time experienced Maintenance Technician for their St. Joseph Apartments (Independent Living) in Shrewsbury, Missouri to provide extensive preventive and continuing maintenance and custodial care. 1. Daily inspect building(s) and grounds, inside and outside, to determine need for repairs and clean up.
2. Performs a wide variety of building and equipment repair and maintenance work, including apartment turnovers, painting, drywall repairs, electrical repairs, equipment testing and maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
3. Keep time and material records of all Work Orders.
4. Assist Maintenance Department in overseeing and or escorting outside contractors.
5. Maintain equipment for snow removal and other lawn maintenance.
6. Maintain all walkways and drives clear of any debris or obstruction.
7. Help maintain flowerbeds, bushes, grass, etc… keeping them trimmed and clear of weed and debris.
8. Respond to requests from Management including issues with safety and security.
9. Respond immediately to all emergencies.
10. Maintain CRSS cell phone, charged and available for emergency response at all times.
11. Work with maintenance supervisor on bi annual quality project.
12. Must be able to replace apartment a/c units as needed.
13. Must keep a clean shop and a on going inventory of all parts and equipment.
14. Other duties as assigned.

1. Some experience in skilled trades, such as plumbing, electrical, painting or carpentry fields.
2. Knowledge of acceptable trade practices and building standards.
3. The ability to understand and follow directions.
4. The ability to prioritize.
