Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a full-time Program Manager. This position is part of the Office of Child and Youth Protection located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. Position Summary:
The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director by ensuring that the program reflects best practices related to continuing education, communications, and the use of technology. The Program Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Archdiocesan response to the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children of Young People (Charter.) He/she will assist with all departmental activities required to ensure that the Archdiocese of Saint Louis and all Archdiocesan Parishes, Schools and Agencies are compliant with the Charter. He/she will work in response to and support of the Archbishop of Saint Louis and his Vicars as well as the Executive Director of the Office of Child and Youth Protection.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director with special project(s) related to E-Learning and the Electronic Compliance Management System. He/She will continually seek to enhance and improve the continuing education process for the user and the Child Safety Coordinator.

• The Program Manager will be responsible for all communication efforts for the Office of Child and Youth Protection. He/She will work with the Archdiocesan Communications Office to develop, maintain and communicate a consistent message. He/She will create and maintain departmental marketing and training materials as well as all policy documents. He/She will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the department website.

• The Program Manager will assist with the internal parish audit process and complete a minimum of 30 compliance audits annually. He/she will assist parishes and provide support to resolve any outstanding concerns identified during the audit.

• The Program Manager will assist with and oversee all training provided by the department. This includes monitoring the schedule of Protecting God’s Children workshops, Safe Touch Facilitator Trainings and the training provided for Child Safety Coordinators. The Program Manager must be trained as a Protecting God’s Children facilitator and provide at least one workshop monthly and as needed.

• The Program Manager will assist with all department activities including running and reviewing background checks, answering phones and providing excellent customer service to the parishes, schools, and agencies of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.

• The Program Manager will act as the department lead when the Executive Director is not available and will be cross trained in all aspects of administration.

• The Program Manager will attend committee meetings at the discretion of committee chairs.

• The Program Manager will attend annual conference(s) held within the US.

• Special projects and other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Publisher
• Advanced degree required. Master’s degree in Social Work/LCSW preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of administrative leadership or program management experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with compliance auditing, volunteer management and/or quality assurance.
