Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a Full Time Administrator. This position is part of the Regina Cleri Retirement Home for Priests located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. Position summary:
The administrator is responsible for the operations of Regina Cleri Retirement Home for Priests in accordance with the wishes of the Archbishop of St. Louis, under the direction of the Vicar for Priests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages, and is responsible for all on-going functions of the facility, e.g., ensuring that all residents receive appropriate oversight, record keeping, 24 hour staffing, facility safety, etc.
• Works collaboratively with Archdiocesan offices and agencies.
• Works collaboratively with the Priests’ Wellness Program concerning hospitalization and nursing home care of the residents and available space for recuperating priests after hospitalization.
• Work with Sacristans for beautiful and meaningful liturgies and prayer services, and an inviting chapel for quiet adoration and meditation.
• Responsible for staff supervision, including personnel evaluations, monitoring of staff duties, coordination of staff scheduling, and working closely with the maintenance staff for upkeep of the building.
• Maintains professional status through attendance at educational seminars and in-services.
• Assists or arranges transportation and accompaniment for resident priests, as needed, e.g.; doctor, dentist, shopping, etc.
• Visits Resident Priests who are hospitalized or in extended care.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Encourages communication and understanding among employees to make for pleasant working conditions.
• Remains available to staff and residents in order to resolve problems and concerns.

• Responsible for financial reports.
• Oversees payroll, credit card transactions, invoices, etc.

Building and Environment:
• Maintains a clean and attractive building.
• Supervises the upkeep of the yard, walkways, parking lot, trees, shrubs and flowerbed areas, etc., so as to make Regina Cleri an attractive and homelike residence.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Awareness of and willingness to adhere to Catholic teachings.
• Management or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge/experience working with a geriatric population.
• Practicing Catholic.

• Respect for each resident as a person created in the image of God and the priests as ordained ministers.
• Must be a good leader, show initiative, exhibit prudent judgment, possess excellent communication skills; be able to organize and prioritize and solve problems.
• Able to maintain confidentiality

Relationships Requirements:
• Communicate with the Archbishop’s Liaison to Retired Priests.
• Able to deal with people of varying ages, must handle requests by residents or family members in an appropriate manner.
• Must work closely with Archdiocesan and other professionals, as well as people in crisis and be able to remain calm, act decisively and follow through.

Resources for which accountable:
• Responsible for developing the annual budget and adhering to it.
• Responsible for Food Service staff.
• Provide protective oversight of residents.
