Missouri Bishops Endorse "Right to Pray" Amendment - on Tuesday's Primary Ballot
Missouri bishops have endorsed Amendment 2, a Constitutional amendment that would provide clarity for Missouri citizens regarding their right to offer voluntary prayer in public places. "The changes proposed in this amendment are consistent with Catholic Church teaching affirming individual rights of conscience and the right to immunity from coercion in matters of religious belief," the bishops stated. Amendment 2 will appear on the August 7, 2012 ballot.
