Special Education Schools - Locations

The Department of Special Education operates a variety of special education schools and learning centers to serve children with learning disabilities, attention deficits, communication disorders, and autism-spectrum disorders.

• The St. Mary's Pre-Schools provide early intervention services for children with developmental disabilities and/or developmental delays ages six weeks old through six years old in an inclusionary early childhood education center that includes day care and pre-school.
• Annunziata School and the Academy at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne provide full-day special education for elementary school aged children with learning disabilities, attention deficits, speech-language deficits, and autism-spectrum disorders.
• Ascension Learning Center, Seven Holy Founders Learning Center, and St. John the Baptist Learning Center provide part-day special education for elementary school aged children with learning disabilities, attention deficits, and speech-language deficits. Students attend the general education parish school for part of the day as well.
• St. Gemma Center provides full-day special education for elementary school aged children with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
• St. Joseph's Special Services provides pre-vocational services for students at St. Mary's High School.
