Not Available at Saint Mary’s (and where to find these resources elsewhere)

  • Reference Works: A number of reference works in foreign and ancient languages and some reference sets in subject areas outside religion and philosophy are in storage.
    • To locate a needed reference work, search the SLU and Concordia Library Catalogs and the MOBIUS Catalog. Most reference books do not circulate, so you will need to go visit that library to use it.
    • Ask one of the library staff if you need help locating a specific reference book.
  • Circulating Books: Books outside the subject area of religion (call numbers 000-219, 400-999) are in storage.
    • You can search for books in these subject areas through the MOBIUS catalog and request them online. They usually will be delivered to St. Mary’s within a week for pick up at the Souvay Library circulation desk in Library Room 1.
  • Bound Journals: All of Souvay Library’s bound journals are in storage.
    • To locate journals click on the journals spreadsheet. The spreadsheet lists all the stored Souvay Library journal titles in alphabetical order and shows their availability in the following locations:

      • Journals available online through the Souvay Library website databases
      • Journals available at Concordia Seminary
      • Journals available in print format in the SLU Pius XII library
