Basilica of St. Louis, King of France

The parish of the Old Cathedral is a Catholic community that was established in 1770 to serve the needs of the early citizens of St. Louis. Throughout the many years since, it has been and continues to be the intent and purpose of the parish to help all who visit and worship here to find an ever-increasing awareness of, and an improved relationship with the Triune God. Visitors from the region, from all parts of the United States, and from almost every corner of the globe have come to visit and celebrate the past and continue on their road into the future. The intent, the desire, and the mission of the Old Cathedral (Basilica of Saint Louis, King of France) is to welcome people from all walks of life and faiths to find a place that gives praise to God, and helps uplift the spirits of all visitors so that their experience may provide each of them with the extra blessings and strength to assist them as they walk into the future.
