All Things New update

The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Clergy has rejected an appeal from St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Luebbering, upholding Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski’s decree in which St. Francis was subsumed by St. Clare parish in St. Clair on Aug. 1. Father Peter Blake serves as pastor of St. Clare, Immaculate Conception in Union and St. Joseph in Neier.

The dicastery also rejected the appeal of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Coffman, upholding the archbishop’s decree in which St. Catherine was subsumed by St. Joseph Parish in Farmington on Aug. 1. Father William Thess serves as pastor.

Memorial Day Mass at St. Patrick of Armagh

The St. Patrick’s (Old Rock Church) Preservation Society will host its annual Memorial Day Mass with Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, at the historic St. Patrick Armagh Mission, 150 Rock Church Road in Catawissa. Coffee and donuts will be served in the dining hall after Mass. Poor Clares 40 hours of adoration

The Poor Clare nuns will host 40 hours of adoration from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, May 30, through Sunday, June 2, the feast of Corpus Christi, at the Monastery of St. Clare, 200 Marycrest Drive in south St. Louis County. Each day will conclude with Benediction. All are invited to join the sisters in prayer during a time of eucharistic revival in the United States.

Rosary Concert

The St. Joan of Arc Choir will host its third annual Rosary Concert from 3-4 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the church, 5800 Oleatha Ave. in St. Louis. The free program will include vocal and instrumental selections as well as inspirational readings and reflections and the recitation of the Rosary.

Celebration of the Sacred Heart

The Sodality of the Most Sacred Heart will host a celebration for the solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at 4 p.m. Friday, June 7, at St. Mary Magdalen, 2618 Brentwood Blvd. in Brentwood. Activities include a Rosary for the sanctification of priests, eucharistic adoration, reconciliation, a 5 p.m. eucharistic procession with Benediction, and a 5:30 p.m. Mass, followed by dinner and reflection. Activities are available for children during reflection and for the entire family until 8:30 p.m., including bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, snow cones, gaga pit and face painting. ITEST will host a webinar, “Abortion Pill Reversal: Truth or Fiction?” at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 8.
