About Sister Leandra Margaret Schaller: A native of St. Louis, she is the daughter of the late Leona Lankau Schaller and Charles H. Schaller. "My favorite part of religious life is the support of prayer, private and communal, the sisters with whom I have had the privilege to journey. Hobbies include, hiking, camping, reading, piano. When I was writing my dissertation at the University of Missouri, one of our sisters was campus minister. I had thought of being a sister ever since sixth grade at Corpus Christi Elementary School. As the years passed I continued my education and it was not until meeting this sister that I began to pursue the idea of religious life in earnest. Upon completion of my doctorate I entered our community. God loves us extravagantly and God’s time is not always ours.
