Deacon Politte was ordained on Feb. 11, 1989, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis by then-Archbishop John L. May. He was assigned and assisted the pastor at St. Joachim in Old Mines, where he served until he entered into retirement status in 2007. He served his parish by presiding at baptisms, funeral services and weddings. Additionally, Deacon Politte served his parish by leading RCIA classes, marriage preparation, visiting nursing homes and making Communion calls to the homebound, leading children’s liturgy, the Meals on Wheels program and coordinating PSR.

Deacon Politte is survived by his wife, Joyce, and his three children, Cindy (Chris) Logan, Patrick (Stacey) Politte and Karen (John-Michael) Politte.
