This silent retreat allows you to withdraw from the busyness of life and reflect on and deepen your relationship with God. You will meet with a spiritual director each day to accompany you during these graced days of silence and contemplation. Pallottine Retreat & Renewal Center warmly invites you to an afternoon dedicated to providing comfort and community for mothers and/or fathers who have experienced the loss of a child.

Large group sessions, separate group sessions for moms and dads to connect and share their unique experiences in ways that relate to mothers and/or fathers in a safe environment.

Sessions will be led by experienced leaders: Jim Ford, Retired Executive Marianist Retreat Director, Rich Young, Licensed Addiction Therapist, Eileen Wolfington, Self Care Facilitator and Diana Gorham, Lay Marianist Retreat Director, ensuring a balanced and empathetic approach.

A variety of refreshments will be provided.


Event Highlights:

•Large Group Sessions: Share, listen, and find solace in the company of others who understand your journey. Enjoy the beauty of the 84 acres of the grounds of the Pallottine Center. A Singing Bowl Sound Session will be included giving us an opportunity to empty our mind, relax our body and refresh our soul, inspiring us to find hope.

•Breakout Sessions: Separate spaces for moms and dads to connect and share their unique experiences in ways that relate to moms and/or dads in a supportive environment.

•Facilitators: Sessions will be led by experienced leaders, Jim Ford, Retired Executive Director of the Marianist Retreat Center and Rich Young, Licensed Addiction Therapist will facilitate the dads’ group. Eileen Wolfington, Self Care Facilitator and Diana Gorham, Lay Marianist Retreat Director and Bereaved Mother will lead the moms' group, ensuring a balanced and empathetic approach.

•Refreshments: Enjoy a variety of refreshments throughout the event.

Presenters include a gerontologist and a licensed social worker, both with expertise in dementia; a mindfulness teacher certified in dementia care; and a representative of an organization that works with families of persons with dementia.
