St. Mary's (Bridgeton)

St. Mary’s (Bridgeton), established 1851, was located at 4605 Long Road. The old church was replaced by a Church/School Combination in 1952. Staffed originally by Jesuits until 1878, then by diocesan priests. Its school was from 1893 by the Sisters of the Third Order of St Francis. The school closed in 1999 and the church was demolished for airport expansion in 2001.
