It is the policy of the Archdiocese of St. Louis to respect and protect the privacy of individuals using the Web site of the archdiocese and its parishes, schools, and agencies (“Affiliates”). This Privacy Statement describes how the Archdiocese of St. Louis collects, uses, and shares personal information obtained from you when you make a donation using our Web site. By making a donation through this Web site, you assent to the Archdiocese of St. Louis Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to this Privacy Statement, please contact us about any alternative arrangements for making a donation.

How We Collect, Use and Share Donor Information

Donation processing for the Archdiocese of St. Louis is handled by our third-party service providers. After collecting any preliminary information, we will transfer you to the Web site of a service provider. The service provider will request that you provide certain contact information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. In addition, the service provider will request that you provide certain donation information, including the amount of your donation and the Affiliate to which you would like to direct that donation. Finally, the service provider will request that you provide certain billing information, including the name of your bank or credit card, your bank or credit card account number, expiration date, and billing address.

The service provider that processes your donation will use the information that you provide on its Web site for the following purposes:

  • To process your donation request
  • To verify your identity

The service provider will share your contact and donation information with the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the parish, school, or agency to which you make the donation. However, the Archdiocese of St. Louis and its Affiliates will not request or receive your billing information. The Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Affiliate to which you make your donation may use your contact and donation information for the following purposes:

  • To contact you about your donation and future donations
  • To perform any necessary tasks required or permitted under applicable law

In addition, the Affiliate to which you make your donation may publish your name and donation level in its donor rolls. If you wish for your donation to remain anonymous, you must contact the Affiliate to which your donation is made and request an anonymous donation.

The Archdiocese of St. Louis does not sell or rent the personal information you provide on the Web site to anyone. The Archdiocese of St. Louis may be required or permitted by applicable law to disclose your personal information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances. We reserve the right to respond to any subpoena received from a government agency without prior notice to you. Additionally, if we need to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, we may disclose certain information about you to private entities, law enforcement, or other government officials as the Archdiocese of St. Louis, in its sole discretion, believes necessary or appropriate.
