Annual Adoption Mass

Annual Adoption Mass

November is National Adoption Month. Every year, the RLA joins with Good Shepherd Children and Family Services to coordinate a celebration for those who have been involved in any way with adoption, a gift twice given.

adoptionmass-logo_small.jpgIn the United States, about 120,000 adoptions occur each year. Many people, directly and indirectly, are affected by adoption:

  • Women seeking options for unplanned or crisis pregnancies
  • People and couples seeking children to complete their families
  • Foster families and agencies involved in the placement and protection of children
  • Children who have been adopted

An annual adoption mass is celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica each November.

2017 Annual Adoption Mass

The 2017 Adoption Mass will be on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica. Bishop Mark Rivituso will be the celebrant. Please make plans to join us to pray for all those whose lives have been touched by the gift of adoption!  In a special way, we invite families who have adopted or who are in the process of adopting to join us in prayer.
