Catholic Cemeteries

WE AWAIT THE BLESSED HOPE

Our Catholic Cemeteries are sacred places, and like our churches, each is dedicated by the archbishop.  They are hallowed ground.  The remains of our loved ones rest there.  They are also symbols for us of the faith we profess in the Nicene Creed that we “look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.”  In a word: “We await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.”  These holy grounds and the blessed remains of all who rest in our cemeteries make them a place that whispers hope and are a reminder of the blessed expectation that is ours.

Our Catholic Cemeteries are places for remembering, forgiving, healing, thanksgiving.  They are a bridge to the communion of saints.
