Archdiocesan Correspondence Course Program
The Office of Secondary Administration maintains a correspondence course program for students enrolled in Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese. These courses may be taken only with approval of the principal of the student's school.
Courses are offered in both required and elective subjects. Click here to see detailed course descriptions. The current course offerings include:
Religion
Church History, Sacraments, and Christian Morality
English
English Grammar, Literary Topics, Short Stories (2 semesters), and Techniques of Writing
Social Studies
Federal Constitution, Missouri Constitution, United States History (2 semesters), Democracy in America, World Geography (2 semesters), and World History (2 semesters)
Each course is offered for 1/2 credit, except for Federal and Missouri Constitution. Courses are available throughout the year and students have a time limit of three-months to complete the course.
The current cost for each 1/2 credit course is $200.00, plus a $20.00 deposit for use of books and materials ($15.00 each, plus a $5.00 deposit for materials for the Federal and Missouri Constitution courses).
