Holy Cross Academy
8874 Pardee Road St. Louis, MO 63123
Holy Cross Academy is seeking qualified applicants for the position of President that will be open as of July 1, 2017.
Holy Cross Academy was founded in 2011 out of an unprecedented collaboration of parishes in the Webster-Shrewsbury-Crestwood-Affton area based on the belief that they could provide a more vibrant Catholic education for PK-8 children together than they could separately. The Academy is one school with three elementary campuses (grades PK-5) and one middle school campus (grades 6-8) with a current enrollment of 780 students and a faculty and staff of 130.
Essential to HCA’s identity is collaborative leadership and meaningful involvement of all stakeholders. All parishes are represented on the Board of Directors by their pastors and by parishioners. The Board has governing authority over all matters except those enumerated in the HCA by-laws as reserved to the Archbishop of St Louis, the pastors as a group, and the designated pastor.
The President of HCA is the “Keeper of the Vision” of the Academy. The president is charged with articulating the mission and identity of the Academy to a wide variety of stakeholders as well as ensuring that its core values are lived realities in all aspects of Academy life.
The President is the Chief Executive Officer of HCA, and is responsible for the advancement and long-term viability and vitality of the school. The President is the public face of the Academy, representing the school at the regional and local level. The President primarily focuses on securing financial resources, exercising sound financial and enrollment management, marketing the school, building strong relationships with the member parishes and the local communities, and implementing board policies.
The President of HCA is also the leader of the administrative team comprised of the principals of the four campuses and the pre-school director. The President provides strategic coordination to ensure high quality academic and faith formation programs across all campuses.
