The Catholic Education Office of the Archdiocese of St. Louis has an opening for a newly created position: Director of City Catholic Elementary Schools. This position will begin July 1, 2017.
Working with the archdiocesan, parish, and partnership Catholic elementary schools located in the City of St. Louis, the Director of City Catholic Elementary Schools will serve as the main point of contact for city pastors and principals and will provide oversight on matters pertaining to school operations, policies, and programs. The Director of City Catholic Elementary Schools will report directly to the Associate Superintendent for Elementary School Administration.
Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic
• Understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophy of Catholic education
• Master’s degree in administration/educational leadership or curriculum/instruction
• At least 5 years of experience in administration/educational leadership in Catholic schools
• Knowledge of and demonstrated successful experience in:
o the overall operation of an elementary school
o instructional leadership and strategic planning
o effective communication and community relations
• Strong interpersonal, relational, and organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of a team
• Ability to travel to various school sites and spend majority of working hours on location at individual schools
