Seeking a Service Learning Director to initiate a service learning program (within established parameters) requiring each student to complete service hours outside of classroom time. The Service Learning Director will devise a listing of service providers and travel to various service sites to work with students and ensure the goals of the program are being met. The Service Learning Director will design and implement for recording and approving student hours. S/he will also work closely with the school's Theology Department to coordinate students' reflections on service within the theology curriculum. A successful candidate for this position needs both a passion for evangelization of the Gospels, particularly the call to justice and charity, and a passion for service learning. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and communications skills as well as a willingness to work as a member of an administrative team. Classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred; knowledge of Catholic social teaching is a must. A degree in Theology is preferred.
