Finance Office
Position Description: 

The Archdiocese of Saint Louis has an opportunity for a full-time Finance Manager. This position is part of the Finance Office located at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO. Position Summary:
Directs and controls all cash transactions in the Finance Office and all investment and accounting activities of the St. Louis Archdiocesan Fund (SLAF).

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensures the integrity of the accounting systems for The St. Louis Archdiocesan Fund.
• Monitors investment portfolio and ensures compliance with Archdiocesan policies.
• Coordinates customer accounting and financial reporting of Investment Fund accounts with the Executive Director of Stewardship.
• Compiles and reports financial data as required by management.
• Coordinates external audit of SLAF.
• Examines, evaluates and processes loan applications.
• Monitors loan portfolio and allowance for loan loss reserve.
• Leads annual loan review process.
• Manages communications with parishes, offices and agencies in order to develop and maintain favorable and professional perceptions of the Finance Office.
• Oversees activities related to liquidation of non-cash contributions for Archdiocesan agencies, offices and parishes.
• Coordinates banking and investment custody relationships for offices, agencies and parishes relative to cash and investments held by SLAF.
• Attends relevant committee and management meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or CPA preferred.
