We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Accounting Assistant. This position will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Compiles financial information to prepare upload journal entries and adjusting journal entries for Accountants of high schools.
• Reconciles tuition cash receipts general ledger accounts as assigned.
• Oversees and coordinates the operation of the Skyward Tuition System at the high schools.
• Creates monthly credit card activity journal entry for Accountants of high schools.
• Answer questions for agency directors and staff.
• Prepares or assists in preparing special reports as needed.
• Forwards reports and correspondence to agency’s director and staff.
• Coordinates courier deliveries and updates courier routes for all school and agency deliveries.
• Download semi-monthly FACTS files; creates batches and journal entry.
• Serves as back up for the Asset Manager Software Data Entry position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
• Associate’s degree from a two-year college and two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
